You know what? III
Our paradigms often take the form of metaphors, especially those having to do with a collective conception of what the world is. Joann Macy, the 5 main metaphors that "explain" the reality of what the world is as follows:
1) The World as a Battle: according to this perception, the world is like a field of battle between the forces of good and evil and that what matters is the one side they decide to join .
2) The World as a Classroom: in this case is about learning the lessons that we have to learn and overcome the evidence presented to us. "Graduate" of life who did "pass" and qualify on the basis of learning and correction in life. Both approaches imply that the issue is "winning" eternity having fulfilled his mission here.
3) The World as a trap: the question here is "free" from prison of the material and rise to higher levels of life. They are developing spiritually based renounce the mundane and superfluous.
4) The World as a lover: in this scheme, the world is a loving and intimate friend that lives with us and gives us their cares and joys, hopes to change that we respect and care for you in a relationship of love and eroticism.
5) The World as a unit: in this case referred to the world and those who live as a single whole. Universal Intelligence is registered at all and which we should live in unity where there is no real distinction between matter and mind. Everything is interconnected and interrelated with each other because everything is and expanding a new manifestation of the same level of common consciousness.
Sciences Institute Noesticas add a sixth metaphor, the world as a machine: this view is based on the principles of Newtonian physics, where the world into a sum of objects linked together by a series of physical and mathematical laws operating in a precise and predictable. There is a separation between the subjective (mind) and objective (matter) and between reason and faith.
These are the six major proposals for explaining the world and depending on what the governing us, will determine the way we behave and our expectations in life. What's yours?
